While some of the steps will be relevant only to you, some of the more common things you can expect to be advised about include the following:

• Shaving the treatment area 24 hours before the appointment
• Not undergoing chemical peels on the treatment area for at least 4 weeks leading to the in-clinic appointment
• Not having a recent tan on the treatment area
• Avoiding direct (or excessive) sun exposure on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks before the appointment
• Refraining from plucking or waxing the hair on the treatment area for at least 4 weeks before the treatment.
